Thank you so much for organising our Forest School sessions this half term, I have watched the children blossom in confidence and excitedly share their new found skills. The children have enjoyed their learning with you so much this week, for homework, they have made you cards, letters, pictures and posters. I hope that you enjoy them!

Our son had an AMAZING time at his Forest School Party! He and 8 of his friends spent 2 hours in the woods, building dens, making fires and using tools. Stuart has a gift with children - they were totally engaged and listened carefully to all his instructions. I have no doubt what all his friends will be wanting for their birthday parties!

As a school, we invited Stuart in to run a bespoke Forest School session for each year group over the Summer Term. Each child from the aged of 4 to 11 thoroughly enjoyed being part of the outdoor learning adventure that Stuart provides. From den building to wood carving, all children regardless of age or ability were fully engaged in their learning. Tips on how to build a fire whilst out camping, came in very handy during our Year 4’s recent residential camp where all children knew exactly what sticks to collect in order to build a great camp fire where we could toast our marshmallows. The enthusiasm of the children after their session was all the proof I needed to measure impact of learning experience for all. We will definitely be booking up again in the

My daughter had a great 8th party with Stuart and so did all of her friends. A brilliant environment for children of her age and I was very impressed with how Stuart engaged with them and the adults. He soon picked up who the shy kids were and made sure they weren't left out. Fun games for the kids, hot chocolate round the fire they had built themselves and they all went home with something they had made. Belle has a wonderful snail and wooden necklace that now has pride of place in her bedroom! The outdoor setting made it very special.

Stuart’s Forest School Club has been running at Yapton School since February 2015. The children (ages ranging from Year 1 to Year 4) have found it really exciting and fun. We do a wide variety of activities, which children of all capabilities can join in. Particular favourites are fire lighting, den building, exploring the environment, using tools and hot chocolate drinking! One of the great attractions to each child is that they are able to complete an activity in each session and come away with a new experience and often something that they have created, such as, a wooden medallion or charcoal pencil. Stuart has great patience with us all and always inspires every child to try out a challenge, even if they are a little unsure of the task. He certainly knows all the ways of the outdoors and the children take great pleasure in learning from him.

As a special treat for the beginning of summer, and doing so well at school, we asked our son what he would like to do - 'Forest School Dad!' We know Stuart personally and Sam has seen him packing his tools, kettle and den-making materials in his van. He has been desperate to join in. He certainly wasn't disappointed. Sam and 8 friends spent a wonderful 3 hours in the woods creating, playing, exploring and most importantly learning about nature. Stuarts knowledge is incredible and also his ability to keep 9 wild little boys totally engrossed in their tasks is impressive! Sam is now always out in the garden, showing us mini-beasts and building dens. He has decided his birthday present HAS to be a forest school tool kit. Brilliant!

My son had his 6th Birthday party at Stuart’s forest school we wanted an outdoor adventure in a natural environment. It was such a success all the kids loved it, they toasted marshmallows by the camp fire, sang songs, played games, cut wood, made wooden toys and had some good old fashioned fun. Stuart is great at putting together a party to suit your child and their friends individual needs and I thoroughly recommend it for any age group.
